Coming O'er The Hill

Sitting in the airport in Chicago
Watching big jets fading out of sight
Trying not to feel so blue while I'm thinking about you
And I wish that I could talk to you tonight

But it's been a year or more since I have seen you
We haven't spoken since the day of our big chill
Now a mountain's in our way, but I'm waiting for the day
That I see you at the top of the hill

Will I see you in the morning when our time's begun anew
Or will I have to wait for evening when my words are faint and few
You know I've always loved you, and you know  I always will
I can't wait to see you coming o'er the hill

This dry and dusty hill that sits between us
I'm trying hard to tear it to the ground
You're out there on your own and  you're feeling all alone
But you need to know I'll always be around

So I'll climb this hill as long as it may take me
When I see you it will be my biggest thrill
The the grass will turn to green with the bluest sky you've ever seen
It's all up there at the top of the hill

Will I see you in the morning when our time's begun anew
Or will I have to wait for evening when my words are faint and few
You know I've always loved you, and you know  I always will
I can't wait to see you coming o'er the hill
