This is an acoustic, eclectic collection of all original songs in the Folk/Americana/Bluegrass genres. It features vocals and guitar work, accompanied by piano, bass, sax, mandolin, banjo, & cello by some of the best musicians in the business, and even a new genre - Coal miner Gospel!

The first 11 tracks are John with his guitar, featuring his smooth vocals and clean, dynamic guitar solos. The final & title track is a beautiful and epic song with vocals, piano & Celtic flute. This album was released in 2012.

A wonderful 14 song contemporary bluegrass recording, consisting mostly of well written and evocative original songs/tunes, with an occasional obscure cover song thrown in for good measure.

The Growling Old Men's latest and greatest. We recorded this during two different weekend sessions in the winter of 2012-13 at the venerable Henhouse studio. A mixture of new, old and obscure material; including two each from Lowell and Winship's respective songbooks, one lively instrumental and a handful of songs that we've been performing over the past few years but hadn't recorded.
